“I am writing to thank you and your wonderful staff for helping my mother and I host the most perfect bridal shower last Saturday!! Firstly, Mousef was absolutely AMAZING, from arriving exactly at 9am to receive to the cake delivery, to putting together a very tasty ‘welcome’ spritzer for guests.
He was also very respectful of my mother’s instructions throughout the event, and made sure to communicate with my mother and I every step of the way! Secondly, your serving staff were also incredible as they did a fantastic job making sure every guest was served on time with enough to eat! Additionally, we appreciate the delicious food your kitchen put together. I can’t tell you how many of our guests raved about the quality and flavours of the food.
I can’t say enough amazing things about your restaurant! Our last big ‘thank you’ goes to you as you have been very understanding and accommodating to my mother and I, over these last few months of planning. We will continue to recommend your restaurant to our friends and family, and we look forward to working with you again in the future!

“My sincere thanks to you and all the staff. The event went off fantastically and we had a wonderful time. And, everyone was really raving about the food!
Again thank you for helping to make my dad’s 80th so special.”
My husband and I were looking for a small, intimate venue to have a day wedding for about 100 people. I had been searching online for a small hall or large restaurant that would suit our purpose, but everything else just seemed bland and ordinary.
We are frequent foodies around Toronto but it was hard to find a place that met all our criteria – ambiance, awesome food, excellent service and budget-friendly. I was on the verge of booking a place that fell short on one of the criteria and desperately did a last-ditch restaurant search online. I came across the Kamasutra website and was immediately struck by pictures of the restaurant’s decor – it was formal but romantic, sweet and charming with lovely linens draped from the ceiling. I was cautiously optimistic as we decided to check it out and were thrilled when we got there person – the atmosphere was perfect.
Then came the real test – the food. We started with an appetizer platter and then tried a trio of curries with rice and naan. Each dish was more delicious than the last and the portion sizes were generous enough that we were able to enjoy the meal again for lunch the next day. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. We absolutely loved it right at that first visit and decided – if it was doable – to have our wedding there. From the time we met Umesh – co-owner of the restaurant with Suresh – we felt very comfortable in his care. We had our tasting visit and he and his team were super-accommodating and even the tasting portions were generous. We had a really hard time deciding what to order because everything was sooooo good!! Eventually, we were able to work out a menu we were very happy with, that worked with our taste and our budget. Umesh was also very cooperative when we mentioned guest food allergies and offered us options for them.
Throughout the event planning process, Umesh (and closer to the day) Suresh and Mousuf worked closely with us to ensure that all the details – big and small – were taken care of. We were in regular communication and all correspondences were returned in a timely fashion. I met up with Suresh and Mousuf a week beforehand to work out the seating arrangements and other details, and by the time we were done, I felt totally confident that everything would go as planned. They also kindly allowed us to drop off decorations and flowers the night before and opened the restaurant to our helpers to setup a few hours in advance of the ceremony. On the day of our wedding, Umesh, Suresh and Mousuf coordinated everything with our emcee (my brother) and it all went off without a hitch! The Kamasutra team made sure everything we discussed went according to plan and kept a close eye to ensure that we – and all of our guests – felt comfortable and well looked after.
The food was – as always – fantastic and the servers went out of their way to make sure we at the head table had enough food, water, tea and that we got some weddin cake as well. The atmosphere was joyful and relaxed and after the wedding, guests repeatedly used the word “magical” to describe our special day. It was actually even more wonderful than we imagined it would be. My husband and I could not be happier with our wedding day and experience with Umesh, Suresh, Mousuf and the whole Kamasutra Team. We highly recommend Kamasutra for small gatherings and large, and especially for events. They are amazing to work with and you can be assured that they will go that extra mile to make sure you are happy. We hope you are as happy and satisfied with your experience as we are with ours! Peace, love and gratitude xo

“In the fall of 2016 my husband and I were frantically searching for a venue for our small wedding dinner after we abruptly had to cancel our first venue due to capacity issues. After searching the internet for a venue that would hold 40 to 50 people last minute, we came across Kamasutra Restaurant & Wine Bar. We have ordered food from Kamasutra for delivery but had never actually attended the restaurant.
I called Kamasutra and to my surprise the call was answered directly by an owner of the restaurant. I explained my situation and he was kind enough to invite my husband and I over to the restaurant for a chat. My husband and I attended and couldn’t believe it. The restaurant looked perfect. Before we even sat down we were excited. The location is simple yet beautiful. Although it’s an Indian restaurant, the décor was contemporary, subtle and perfect for an intimate dinner with close friends.
We met with Suresh. He was prepared with menu options and great ideas. He was professional and made us feel comfortable. We were interested in having the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Thursday evening a few weeks before the Christmas rush. Umesh was very open to all of our ideas and suggestions and within 20 minutes we paid a deposit and had our wedding dinner booked.
The menu options were all amazing and after careful thought we went with an option that suited our guest and ourselves best. Umesh worked diligently with us to make sure that our food options and drink options suited us. We went with an all- inclusive package that included 3 appetizers, 3 meat entrees, 2 vegetarian entrees and 2 dessert options served family style (unlimited) with an open bar for our guests. Since we had ordered takeout we already knew the food was delicious. Suresh also worked hard to work within the budget provided and in the end we had $0 in overages. We had a tasting and were allowed to bring two guests. Our two guests left the tasting wanting more and excited for our wedding dinner. The chicken madras was not like anything we had tried before. It was delightfully creamy and delicious. Oh, and the naan was crispy yet fluffy and so yummy.
Of the appetizers the brie pakora appetizer was a hit amongst our guests and of course you can’t go wrong with the butter chicken. The lamb rogan josh was a nice change for guests who’d never tried lamb before. To their surprise they loved it. Eighty percent of our guests were not Indian and a few of the guests had never even experimented with Indian food. This was a great way for them to try something new. At the end of the evening, our guests all complimented the amazing food. We went with a mild spice option so all our guests would be comfortable. It should be noted that the restaurant did not smell like an Indian restaurant (although delicious to taste, some people are very sensitive to the aromas of indian cuisine).
The service given to our guests and ourselves was impeccable. We were spoiled and most guests didn’t even have to go to the bar to get their drinks. The wait staff was so attentive and would bring guests their bar drinks directly to them.
Our guests were told that we were to be married in the morning at City Hall. To their surprise, right as we sat down to dinner we had advised them that we hadn’t and that right here, right now we would get married. They were so excited. Kamasutra was great with setting up the tables so that they would all face the raised section near the front window. The staff also help my sister and I help with setting up the centerpieces we had purchased. We got married in front of everyone and it was a great success.
It’s been a few weeks now and when we look back on that night, we can’t help but smile. Our guests loved the casual vibe, the great food and the stiff drinks. Guests have advised us that they have gone to Kamasutra with their families since our wedding.
We would love to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved at Kamasutra Restaurant & Wine Bar for making our evening a stress free success.
If you are looking for a quaint event space with great food and drinks or a caterer that provides delicious food, this place is your answer. You will not be disappointed.”
Malinie and MishaGuest Comment from a Wedding, November 2016
We had organized a party for 50 people and had Kamasutra cater the food. While many other restaurants did not bother to respond to our request, the management of Kamasutra was prompt and professional in their dealings with us. They invited us to a sampling of the key dishes that we were planning to order, at which time we finalized the details and signed the contract. The food during the sampling was of an excellent quality. For the party, the food was excellent complemented by super service by their staff.
They arrived on time, set up the food quickly and made sure the food trays never went empty. Their staff even went the extra mile by assisting with the bar service which was not part of their mandate. The rotis that we sampled in the restaurant were excellent but for the party they were a bit dry possibly because on the long time between preparation at the restaurant and the actual time of consumption made worse by the time spent in the chaffing dish. Overall the food and service more than met our expectations.
There was more than sufficient quantity of food provided. Our guests were impressed by the quality of the food. and the service.
We would definitely recommend Kamasutra for their food as an eat-in experience or for their catering service.

“Our fabulous private party, Wow! July 2017”
We recently celebrated our family party at the Kamasutra for about 45 people in July. We must say the Restaurant team simple did an outstanding job. The food and service was way beyond our expectations. Starting with the food tasting session, to the table settings, layout, ambiance of the restaurant.
The management made it so easy to for us to make any requests, and they did everything possible to please. They helped us chose a perfect menu, provide valuable input on how to organize the event, music, and could not have asked for more. We had a lot of guests out of town and all admired the hospitality.
They all came to say was classy experience. Manager Masouf was on top of the team and table service was excellent. Food was piping hot, delicious staff were very courteous, and out to please. It so happened that we had two surprise birthdays in our guests, and at a moments notice the Masouf;’s team quickly arranged a table with sweets to celebrate an unannounced tribute.
This meant a lot to us. We have no hesitation in recommending Kamasutra for any celebration, whether a private party function, or a regular visit. You can expect excellent service and food is delicious and amibiance only tops it. The bar is well stocked. They are simply out to please. Thanks all Kamasutra team!
Congrats to your all organization.
You will not be disappointed. …. Jani family July 2017
